Benjamin Crellin is one of New Zealand's top international comedians. With eighteen televised stand-up performances and four nominations for his countries highest comedy award he is a nine-year veteran of the industry. A prolific, consistent and highly in-demand stand-up, Crellin has written six solo shows. His latest show @WITSEND premiered at the 2004 NZ International Comedy Festival to critical acclaim and then toured to five Canadian Fringe Festivals gaining 4 star reviews and sell-out shows in Edmonton, Victoria and Vancouver. During this time he was seen and selected for showcase performances at The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and The Vancouver International Comedy Festival. Crellin is an experienced improviser and has been a core cast member of several long running improv based shows (Xprov, Loose Cannons, Late N Live) He is also a trained actor and has had character roles in stage (Macbeth, Waiting for Raywen, The Toss) and TV productions (Xena, Young Hercules, various TVCs). Crellin is an accomplished comedy writer in several mediums including radio (News in Briefs, Star ship Cortina, Hound of the Dargavilles, Fitianga Jones) and TV (Pulp Comedy, Straussman). He recently co authored his first book: Way Of The Jafa which after its July release spent two months on the NZ Top Ten Bestseller list.
